Dhangar reservation: Indefinite hunger strike in Pandharpur

360 kms away from the financial capital of the country, we find ourselves in Pandharpur, where six men from different parts of Maharashtra have been sitting on an indefinite hunger strike. The Dhangar community says it holds a sway over 92 of the 288 constituencies. At a time when the polls are just around the corner, Dhangars have demanded that the Government of Maharashtra should issue a GR saying Dhangads should be read as Dhangars.
