The Bodyweight Squat doesn't get enough attention - especially in high-rep CrossFit or Pump style workouts.

There's no load or any notable risk factor, so technique just gets overlooked, however you're squatting must be ok! But over time, hundreds of dodgy reps add up and can be the build up to an unexpected injury that you blame on something else.

So!

Key points for a solid bodyweight squat:

Stand at a width & foot position that's most comfortable to your knees (   • Find Your Perfect Squat Foot Stance  )

Grab the ground with your feet, making sure you're not rolling onto the edges of your foot or onto your toes

Brace slightly (   • Learn to engage your core & brace pro...  )

Let your knees travel forwards in the same direction as your toes

"Load" your hips: feel your muscles stretching with tension

Only go to a depth that you feel active & strong in, not as low as you can go!
