the British alternative rock band, Placebo, sat down for an interview to discuss their album "Once More With Feeling." The band, which was formed in London in 1994 by Brian Molko and Stefan Olsdal, gained popularity in 1997 after the release of their single "Nancy Boy," which discussed gender-bending, mental health, drug use, and sexuality, all topics that were controversial at the time.

Placebo has gone through several lineup changes, with drummer Robert Schultzberg leaving the band in 1996 and Steve Hewitt departing in 2007. The band is currently a duo consisting of Molko and Olsdal, augmented with additional musicians.

The band has collaborated with several artists over the years, including David Bowie, Justin Warfield, Michael Stipe, and Alison Mosshart. Placebo has released eight studio albums, all of which have reached the Top 20 in the United Kingdom, and have sold approximately 14 million records worldwide.

In the interview, the band members discussed the creative process behind "Once More With Feeling," which was a greatest hits album released in 2004. The album featured a collection of Placebo's most popular songs, as well as a new single titled "Twenty Years." The band spoke about their decision to include the new single on the album, as well as the challenges of selecting which songs to include.
