Diamond Valley Railway: Teddy Bears' Picnic 2017

Every year, over the Queen's Birthday Weekend, Diamond Valley Railway holds their Teddy Bears' Picnic event. This weekend allows passengers under the age of 17 who bring a teddy bear to have free tickets.

This was the fifth Teddy Bears' weekend and was a record breaking event. 18 different locomotives were used over the weekend, with 12 trains operating on the railway at any one time.

About the railway
The Diamond Valley Railway is located in Eltham Lower Park, Victoria, Australia and operates every Sunday from 11am-5pm, Wednesday during the school holidays and selected public holidays between 1-4pm. The railway is 7 1/4 inch gauge and travels on a 2km long main line track, taking visitors over bridges, into tunnels and through a beautiful bush setting on an approximately 15 minute journey.
