This is a great technique that you can use if you wan to give feedback to your students. It has become widely studied and adopted at university level but you don't see so much use of it in colleges and secondary schools. It is a technique that I use all the time to give my students feedback. What I like about the idea is that it is great for online classes but also useful if you are teaching online. Another great thing about this ideas is that it uses a FREE tool. Using this technique doesn't cost a lot of money and uses one of the most useful technologies that you can know. So when you learn to use this technology you will see that it can be used for lots of other contexts, not just for giving feedback to our students.

This way of giving feedback to students is media rich, includes both audio and visual information and means that the students get much more information in a much shorter space of time. As a technique it has proved to be very popular with students who think the feedback is clearer and in more depth. Teachers like this way of giving feedback as it is actually very easy and quick to do. In most cases it is quicker and clearer to give feedback this way than the traditional way of giving feedback.

In this video I suggest several different ways that we can use this technology to give feedback. The technology we use to give feedback is screen capture technology or screen cast technology.
