Hello everyone, welcome to SA Today on 4 March 2026. Today in South Africa, we begin the video with an accident on Van Rhyn's Pass, South Africa. The truck's brakes failed. A rainstorm in Mbombela (Nelspruit). Thunderstorm over Port Shepstone last night. Overcast day outside Marble Hall. Then we spend a day at Mzingazi Golf Estate in Richards Bay. Eating sushi at Paternoster at the Seekat Restaurant on the West Coast. Then we'll show you elephants in Kruger National Park, and we will show you more from across SA Today.

The weather forecast across South Africa today is as follows:
Scattered storms continued overnight into today across parts of North West Province, Gauteng Province, and Highveld of Mpumalanga Province, becoming widespread this afternoon over eastern Mpumalanga Province and Limpopo Province. The western interior experienced a cold start to the day, while much cooler and rainy weather is spreading through KwaZulu-Natal Province behind a cold front. The South African Weather Service has issued a Yellow Level 4 warning for severe thunderstorms, heavy downpours, damaging winds, hail, and excessive lightning in eastern Limpopo and Mpumalanga, with a Yellow Level 2 warning for similar conditions in southwest and central Limpopo as well as the Mpumalanga Province. Damaging waves are also expected along the coast from Alexander Bay to Plettenberg Bay this morning.
