I don't care what anyone else says, this is the way that mentorship is supposed to to work. You shouldn't have to be sold mentorship by a salesperson, you should have to sell yourself as a student to a qualified, respected and verifiable mentor. Don't mistake that small hit of dopamine you get from starting some paid mentorship program as a substantial step toward accomplishing your goals. I've seen too many people with big egos, little to no accomplishments and a mentor that pumped them up for a few weeks with motivational nonsense.

I love teachers and that is a noble profession, but teaching you a course on how to make money is not the same thing as teaching you mathematics, economics or history. A math teacher doesn't need to sell you on their abilities and skill set. They are vetted and proven by the school they teach at. Who is vetting this mentors, life coaches and executive coaches online? What are their qualifications?
