Lights On In Tathra | VB Highlights | NRL

As part of their ongoing partnership, the National Rugby League and Victoria Bitter have produced a story on resilience and community featuring Geoff Toovey and the Tathra Sea Eagles.

The Tathra Sea Eagles like many local clubs on the South Coast live and breathe footy.

2020 has seen the season on hold due to COVID -19. This was after the community bravely battled the summer bushfires and floods.

The short piece, titled ‘Keeping The Lights On’, is set in Tathra at their local Rugby League club. It focuses on what life currently is for that part of NSW and how Rugby League helps this community get through these hard times.

The Tathra Sea Eagles have been training with makeshift lighting made from old goal posts and they cannot train past sunset due to low visibility. To get the players back on the field training past dark, Geoff Toovey delivers a special message and donation on behalf of Victoria Bitter.
