Nick Lavery is an active-duty Green Beret and a decorated combat veteran who lost his leg in an operation in Afghanistan in 2013. Instead of taking a paid leave, Nick trained tirelessly and passed the physical tests to return to his Special Forces Detachment and continue conducting combat operations. He became the first soldier in US history to deploy once again to Afghanistan with an above-the-knee amputation.

Nick is also the author of the book "Objective Secure: The Battle-Tested Guide to Goal Achievement". It is a battle-tested guide forged by fire, literally. It outlines the methodology Nick employed to return to operational status, and also the methodology he uses today as he continues his unprecedented journey in service to his country. "Objective Secure" is a guide that enables readers to achieve any goal, no matter how far-fetched, unlikely, or impractical it may seem.
