Kalga (also called "Kalgha") is a village in Kullu district in the state of Himachal Pradesh, India. It is located at an elevation of about 2,280 m (7,480 ft) in the Parvati Valley, surrounded by mountains. The nearest bus stand is at Barshaini. The village attracts crowds during the months of April to July and is a short detour en route on the trek route to Kheerganga.
Offering a 360 degree view of the entire valley, it is a perfect destination to visit before or after doing the Kheerganga Trek.
Road trippers can take the HRTC bus to Barshaini which happens to be the last stop in Parvati Valley. From Barshaini, trek all the way to Kalga. As you cross a white-painted Shiva temple, you would see a sign board and two roads. Head to the road going up and soon you would come across stairs leading to Kalga village. There are about 120 steps that take about 20 to 25 minutes to ascend.
Manikaran is located in the Parvati Valley on river Parvati, northeast of Bhuntar in the Kullu District of Himachal Pradesh. It is at an altitude of 1760 m and is located 4 km from Kasol, about 45 km from Kullu and about 35 km from Bhuntar.

This small town attracts tourists visiting the hot springs and pilgrim centres of Manali and Kullu. An experimental geothermal energy plant has also been set up here.
