The Nigerian president, Goodluck Jonathan, has been asked to give a timeline to security chiefs in the country to end the insurgency in the north-east and evaluate their performance within a specific period.

Mr Emeka Nwanevu suggested that the security agencies' heads should be removed if they perform below expectations within the period stipulated.
