Omar Alshogre ‪@omar.alshogre‬ is a Syrian refugee, a public speaker and human rights activist who is currently the Director for Detainee Affairs at the Syrian Emergency Task Force.
He is one of the few survivors of the notorious Sednaya Military Prison, dubbed “The Human Slaughterhouse.” He now shares his unique and powerful story of survival to raise awareness of the abuses of the Syrian government to the world.

In this Sarde, Omar recounted for us his life before imprisonment, during and his great escape.
He discussed the atrocities and horrors he saw inside the Syrian prison system and how he developed the strength to survive.
