"The Inflatable Dates, also known as "The Dates" and would comprise of the following:

Bob O'Neil - Songwriter/Lead Guitar/Vocals
Rick Cabral - Bass/Vocals formerly of The Santa Cruz Band
Gary "Killer" Andrijasevich - Drums/Vocals formerly of The Chocolate Watch Band.

The bands music was different than SNAIL rock 'n' roll ballads of the 1970's.

The Dates were a powerhouse trio with edgy lyrics and very danceable 80's grooves. They performed to packed venues throughout 1981-87. They recorded at MARS studios, in Freedom,CA, The Record Plant, in Sausalito,Ca and Mussel Shoals,AL. These recordings have never been released.
The Dates, disbanded upon the loss of Rick Cabral in 1987."

Well this one appears to be a very rare demo and while doing this rip it was the very first time I had listened to this very amazing tape. Wish they would release whatever was recorded because I thoroughly enjoyed this way to short tape.

It does show it's age a bit but I have tried to get the absolute best quality out of this. No noise reduction and no altering the sound in anyway. What you hear is exactly how the tape sounds.

I have no information on the song titles on this one so only my best guess.

This tape comes from a collection of demo/independent band releases I bought over 30 years ago at a yard sale. 19 years ago I started converting them over to digital format to preserve them but life took over and only got a handful done. Many of the bands are from the New England area and there are some real gems in the collection. Dates range from the 1980's to early 1990's.
