So what do you do with scars after plastic surgery? How do you manage them? One important thing to understand about scars is the time the wound healing happens. The initial first three weeks your wounds are fresh, they’re just healing.

At about three weeks you then start what’s called the remodeling phase of wound healing. This phase is the longest phase. It goes from three weeks from the time of your surgery all the way to almost nine months.
