I decided to take a walk around the Clark Parade Grounds located in the Clark Freeport Zone in Mabalacat Pampanga Philippines for some exercise and to see some of the buildings and history that surrounds the Park area. The Parade Grounds used to be the parade fields of Fort Stotsenburg of the United States Cavalry and were used by soldiers as a concert venue and a polo field.
In 2015 the grounds underwent a renovation costing 20 million pesos and included improvements to the jogging path and the installation of lights and other utilities.

The Parade Grounds hosts several events each year from sporting events to concerts to food and leisure gatherings. The rubberized path that surrounds the grounds is 2.2 km or 1.4 miles long and is 2 meters or 6.6 feet wide.

The Clark Freeport Zone is a welcome change from the older run down Angeles City area. The Parade Grounds and surrounding buildings are kept up by the CDC or Clark Development Cooperation and are a must see if you want to visit some historically importance facilities from past wars.
