CURO at UGA: Foundation Fellow Tackles Biotech

Emilio Ferrara grew up in a family of doctors, so he has also wanted to be in the medical field. However, even he didn’t expect the opportunities that UGA’s Center for Undergraduate Research Opportunities (CURO) could create for him with his current research in biotechnology.

Ferrara’s CURO experience has helped him observe “a tangible outcome of what research can do and translate into.” He is excited to see how his discoveries will someday change disease research and the world.
