International Day of Yoga 2025 celebrated with immense enthusiasm in Santiago! 🇮🇳🇨🇱

On 21 June 2025, yoga practitioners, enthusiasts and friends of India in Chile gathered at the Municipal Gym, Las Condes, to mark #IDY2025, embracing the timeless wisdom of Yoga for "One Earth, One Health".

The event started with a Special documentary screening highlighting Yoga’s journey and impact on the lives of the people.

Thereafter, Ambassador Abhilasha Joshi addressed the vibrant gathering, highlighting Yoga’s power to promote holistic well-being, harmony and balance — not only within individuals but across societies. Her inspiring words resonated deeply with the participants, reflecting India's civilizational message of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” — the world is one family.

This grand event was the culmination of an extensive Yoga outreach by the Embassy, held in collaboration with multiple yoga schools across Chile. Over the past weeks, a series of curtain raiser sessions in different cities ranging from the beautiful landscapes of Iquique to the historical chambers of the National Congress in Valparaíso, engaged diverse audiences, building momentum and spreading the message of wellness and mindfulness.

We express our deep gratitude to Municipalidad Las Condes for their wholehearted support and partnership, making this celebration memorable.

The event also featured vibrant showcases of India’s diverse states, Ayurveda demonstrations and tea promotion displays, offering glimpses into India’s timeless traditions of wellness, culture and hospitality.

The day concluded with a mesmerizing Indian cultural dance performance, captivating everyone present and showcasing India’s rich cultural heritage. The graceful expressions, vibrant costume and rhythmic movements left the audience spellbound — a fitting finale to a soulful day.

The ancient wisdom of Yoga continues to connect hearts and cultures, building bridges of friendship across continents.
