Robert Anthony Geis, age 79 years, of Ringoes, NJ, died peacefully on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ, surrounded by his loving family.

Bob was born and raised in Trenton, NJ, and graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1962. He began his career at First National State Bank of Central Jersey in 1964, where he rose to the position of assistant vice president and manager. In the early 1970s, Bob joined Nitti’s Subaru in Hamilton Square, NJ, eventually becoming a Dealer Principal in the 1990’s. He retired in 2009.

Enlisting in the NJ Army National Guard in 1965, he was commissioned as an officer in 1972. As a Captain in the 50th Finance Company, he met his wife of nearly 40 years, Kim. He continued his military career in the US Army Reserve, achieving the rank of Major and retiring with over 20 years of service, earning numerous awards and commendations.

Bob was an active member of several organizations, including the Trenton Elks #105, the American Legion, the VFW, the 112th Field Artillery Association, and the Central Conservation Club in Montrose, PA.

As a husband, father, and Grandfather Bob was nurturing and kind. He and Kim had 2 children, Seth Geis and Joe Geis. He always considered himself lucky that Joe married Leigh Geis, his loving daughter-in-law, and they gave him a grandson who always made him smile, Asher.

Bob was an avid fisherman, hunter, golfer, and boating enthusiast. He was a car fanatic with a love for old cars. Bob could most often be found in his garage where he spent years restoring his 1958 Corvette. He drove it annually to the Corvette Car Show in Carlisle PA since 1990 with his good friends. The 4 B’s will never be the same.

He is predeceased by his parents, George and Helen Geis, and nephew, Lee Geis. In addition to his immediate family, he is survived by his brother, Tom, and his wife, Linda, of Port Charlotte, FL, as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
