Visuals from Kerala's 6th Queer Pride March on 11 July 2015 @ Thiruvananthapuram. "Queer" is an umbrella term for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender (LGBT) minority of any society. The LGBT minority is still oppressed, ridiculed, criminalised or pathologized in many parts of the world, including India. Being Homosexual/Transgender is an in-born natural phenomenon that can't be changed. To counter the stigma & oppression, June-July is celebrated by queer community all over the world as Pride Month and Queer Pride Marches happen in all major world cities. Kerala's first queer pride happened in Thrissur on July 2 , 2010. Since then, it has happened in Kozhikode and Kochi. This is the first time the march happened in the capital city of Thiruvananthapuram.

Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, INDIA -- Hundreds of LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender) community members and supporters took out a march in India's southern state of Kerala on Saturday to demand a life of dignity and end to marginalisation.

The sixth edition of the 'Queer Pride March' was celebrated with great pomp and show in Thiruvananthapuram city.

Social activists and writers were also present at the parade to express solidarity and ignite the spirit of LGBT community members.
