The ruins of this Vita are known to be of the early period of Pala rule (approximately 8th century AD). Excavations at the mound or Vita in the 1970s uncovered a temple and some small archeological finds. A huge granite slab is found on the top of the mound and this is why the locals have given the mound such a strange name. Three Buddha statues were found sitting in the same row among the carved stone fragments obtained as a result of excavations here. Which is currently preserved in the Barind Research Museum . Remains of the structure of the site are still buried under the ground. Only the huge square can be seen here. This rectangular Buddhist temple was facing east. The floor was paved with stone. The upper walls of the stone foundation were made of bricks which were built of clay. It is estimated that the side of the door frame, the ornate part of the top of the door and the sardal were made of stone. The granite slab here has two holes for the door latch. Also at the top are folks and raised flower designs. Here Hindus and Muslims used to pour bare milk on this square and offer devotion which is still practiced today.
