PENG BLOCK FOR HIP PAIN - NYSORA's Regional Anesthesia Clinical Cases

Описание к видео PENG BLOCK FOR HIP PAIN - NYSORA's Regional Anesthesia Clinical Cases

"PENG BLOCK", "ANALGESIA FOR TOTAL HIP REPLACEMENT"

PENG block (The Pericapsular Nerve Group, or Hip Block) was proposed by Giron et al., led by innovator Dr. Philip Peng in 2018 for treating perioperative pain in patients with hip fractures. Consequently, the indications of PENG block expanded for opioid-sparing pain relief after total hip replacement, particularly in patients having an anterior surgical approach. As the technique has proven to be generally safe and well-tolerated by patients, the use of PENG block is expanding in the management of chronic hip pain via the denervation method. In this video, Dr. Hadzic explains the technique in detail using NYSORA’s Reverse Ultrasound Anatomy cognitive aids from the NYSORA’s Compendium of Regional Anesthesia (fondly known as the Bible of Regional Anesthesia). https://nextlevelcme.com/e-book/textb....
