It may be noted here that there is common perception that, officers who served at this hospital at any time of their service life promoted to higher posts like resident medical officer (Rmo)UH&FPO(upazilla health & family planning officer),deputy civil surgeon(D.C.S), civil surgeon(C.S),assistant director,deputy director,director, director general and so on. But nobody ever thought that a wheel chair is necessary for this hospital . Every day a huge number of serious patients come here for treatment purpose. Full term pregnant women come everyday for delivery purpose. A wheel chair is essential for movement of patient from emergency room to wards. From ground floor to 1st,2nd floor . It is dr.manab kumar chowdhury who first noticed the absence of a wheel chair just 3 day after his joining in this hospital when he noticed that a full term pregnant women going upstairs with great discomfort .As there was no govt supply, he easily managed it from a private organization with in a week as donation.He proved that, an important item which was not manageable to others for the last 25 years can be managed with in a week . the need is will, not property. .
