Classroom of the Elite SHATTERED My Expectations

Classroom of the Elite is an anime I went into not really expecting much and I came out after experiencing some of the best anime I've watched recently. I really thought this show would just be a glaze fest for Ayanokoji, but it was so, so much more than that and as I watched more, I began to realize why so many people obsess over this anime. The production might not be the greatest and there may be a lot cut out from the light novels(at least that's what I've seen online), but it still managed to be this good. It's also really neat seeing an anime really take its time in a high school setting and slowly progress through each year. It's not done in an MHA way either where the whole story takes place during year one and the time progression throughout the year and seasons felt really natural and the slow character development throughout those exams reflected that.
