Hailing from Banceuy, a village in the tea-growing Ciater area of Subang, West Java, the band Celempungan Gentra Wiwitan specialize in bamboo instruments, from the celempung renteng to the single-reed wind instrument called toleat.

This video is a result of a collaboration with Belgian producer and musician Dijf Sanders while I was leading him on his Europalia-backed artist's residency across Java; audio is recorded, mixed, and mastered by Dijf Sanders. Check out Dijf's album, Java, here: https://news.lnk.to/JAVA
