AUGUST 2024

I started off the month treated to a belated birthday celebration by Agata and Luk a few doors down. They’re the sweetest. A few days later we went to White Salmon for hangs, pizzas, and wine with Kurt and Lara. A skunk died by mysterious means in the neighbor’s yard and it stunk for a week as it decomposed. Actually it still stinks from time to time. Macey was Macey. She’s really come into her own over the last year and there’s a lot of her playing in this video. We enjoyed that Chocolate Royale from Cheese and Crack a few times this month - it’s so damn good. We made only one trip to the coast all Summer, a night in Manzanita with Macey. We had a great oceanfront room and watched life go by out there with some pizza and Modelos. I should really make it a point to get out there more. Macey got to experience Cannon Beach as well. We also went to Astoria but the clips weren’t good. There was a power outage at Hale Pele so we went to The Nest with some of the staff - Bree and Nathaniel, and then out again a few days later with Kat and Scott, then again to say goodbye to Miles and Kyra who moved to New York. Stef hosted a pool party and we had breakfast with them the next day. Michelle made banana bread. It was great. We toured an amazing house in the neighborhood with almost every neighbor. Unfortunately my buddy did not win the bidding war on that one. It would’ve been cool to kick it there. Macey opened up to Tom at work at some point and it’s great to see. Coop and her played a bunch and Coop humped the couch while doing so. Then we went boating for Tom’s birthday, flew the drone in some sketchy conditions and watched Alex pull a backflip first try off the pontoon like a professional. After that the month wound down. Mike and Amanda visited from San Francisco and we blew them out with some flaming hot Thai food. They stopped by the shop the next day. To end the month we went out to Houston Blacklight with Derric and LeAnn and then attended Natasha’s housewarming party the next night. Argay rolled deep on scooters and we got another one of those Chocolate Royales to finish out August.
