EFE class J94 Waggoner sound??

EFE Rail E85006 class J94 0-6-0 saddle tank no. 92 “Waggoner” Sound ??

This ex-DJ Models/Kernow model has been reworked by EFE Rail. One of the modifications is the change from 6-pin to Next18 decoder socket. The big question is: will it be as easy as the previous version to install sound|???? Answer: No, it isn’t! Why? The body/superstructure refuses to be parted from the chassis. It simply will not come off. By taking out the relevant screws the body becomes loose but jams on an internal part of the chassis. The DJM version was a direct lift off. It also had speaker wires factory fitted running to the coal bunker, making for an easy speaker fit. Keith has had customer enquiries for his ‘bespoke’ soundchip for this engine: when this news was passed on they found they couldn’t remove the bodies from their locos either. Neither could Rails of Sheffield, in response to an enquiry from Keith: they suggested contacting Bachmann (pity it’s a bank holiday week-end).
