DJ렉스(Wreckx)는 대한민국 최초의 힙합 DJ이다. 1991년 B-BOY로 힙합과 인연을 맺은 이후, 당시 국내에는 생소했던 디제잉을 최초로 시작하게 되었다. 힙합의 불모지였던 한국에서 음악을 필요로 하는 B-BOY들을 위해, 또 일반 audience을 위해 좋은 음악을 들려주고 싶다는 '마음'에서 출발한 것이다.

그는 세계적인 B-BOY 그룹인 Rivers Crew의 일원으로 현재 DJ로서는 수많은 비보이들의 서포트를 해주거나, MIML 같은 아티스트 모임을 만들어 활동하고 있다. 그러나 한 명의 행동가로서 그는 한 사람으로부터 퍼져나가는, 작지만 거대한 변화의 힘을 믿고 있다. 다른 사람이 가지 않은 길을 업으로 삼아 최고의 자리에 올랐음에도 여전히 자신의 음악을 통해 변화의 씨앗을 퍼뜨리고자 하는 작은 소망으로 오늘도 작업실에서 밤을 지새운다.

DJ Wreckx
DJ Wreckx is the first hip-hop DJ in Korea. He became acquainted with the genre of hip hop when he was a B-Boy, and started his career as DJ even though it was uncommon in Korea at the time. His desire to introduce and offer good hip-hop music to both Korean B-Boys and normal audience enabled him to pioneer in this field.

He is now a member of a well-known hip-hop group, River Crew, and works as DJ, supporting a number of B-Boys. He also created an artist community called MIML and is actively participating in it. He believes in the capability of one person, and the influence that one individual can bring to the whole society. He is now the best in his area, and his achievement is significant for opening up the new genre of music in Korea. However, he still works days and nights in his office, wishing to spread the seeds of change through his music.

About TEDx, x = independently organized event
