フレンチスタイルの特徴と言うと、よく言われるのが＜フィッシュマウス＞になります。フィッシュマウスとは魚の口のこと。
私達フレンチテーラーが仕立てるラペルの角部分が、横から見た魚の口のように見えることから、そのように言われています。
今日はその部分についてわかりやすくお伝えしたいと思います。
フィッシュマウスを説明するにあたって、一番わかりやすいのがチェック柄の生地を使用した場合になりますので、今回も前回同様大柄のウインドウペインをマヌカンにかけご説明いたします。
チェックというのは、皆さんご存知のとおり四角の柄を指します。丸や三角といった柄物の生地を見てチェック柄とは言わないと思います。
フィッシュマウスというのは、そのチェック柄が100％生きるラペルのカッティング方法と言えます。
