Uncovering Hong Kong's Hidden Gem‼️ 'Road Trippin' Through Sai Kung District.'

I am Robert Van Nortrick and welcome to my channel. My good friend Daniel and I set off for another hong kong adventure 香港 as we discover Sai Kung District 發現 西貢區. Sai Kung is a town on Sai Kung Peninsula, facing Sai Kung Hoi (Inner Port Shelter), part of Sai Kung District in the New Territories, Hong Kong. Sai Kung is the central hub of nearby surrounding villages, and hence the name may also refer to the areas in its immediate surroundings.
During the World War I, ships were required to be inspected by the Royal Navy when entering or leaving the Victoria Harbour. The Port Shelter and the Sai Kung market town were located outside the harbour, thus benefited from the policy to become a place for resupply.
Sai Kung town underwent significant expansion during the 1970s when the High Island Reservoir and associated water required for some villagers and fishermen to be stored in Sai Kung.
