Gripper can make coffee to tackle the shortage of hands. And it can cook as it is dangerous to use hot oil. Escaping from simply picking up objects, robotic hands have evolved into the ones with finger joints. With its delicate sense of touch, it can play the piano, water the flowers and even cut paper with scissors. As it has the same joint structure with humans, it is expected to be used for a wider range of areas. We explore biomimetic robotic hands, which can help human works and even be used as an artificial arm.

코로나19 시대와 더불어 생활 곳곳에서 로봇들의 활약과 그 역할이 커져가고 있다. 이에 [#Hash_Tech]에서는 우리 일상에서 인간을 대신해 일손이 되어주는 '생체 모방 로봇 손'에 대해 살펴본다. 사람 손을 모방한 로봇들은 이미 우리 일상에 서서히 스며들고 있다. 그리퍼는 일손이 부족한 사람을 도와 커피를 만들기도 하고, 때론 뜨거운 기름에 노출될 위험을 줄이기 위해 음식을 대신 조리해주었다. 지금까지의 로봇 손이 집게 형태에서 그쳤다면 이제는 손가락뿐 아니라 손마디까지 완벽하게 모방한 로봇 손까지 발전했다. 섬세한 형태로 바뀐 만큼 피아노 연주는 물론 분무기로 꽃에 물을 주거나 가위로 종이를 자르는 일까지 가능해진 상태다. 인간과 같은 관절 구조로 만들어져 앞으로 손가락 형태의 로봇 손들이 해낼 수 있는 일이 무궁무진해질 것이라는 전망이다. 일손을 돕는 것도 모자라 의수로서의 역할까지 가능해진 '생체 모방 로봇 손'을 만나본다.
