Prøvefesten / The Evaluation Party (Short Film)

En ung russegutt har fått en "prøvefest" for å bevise at han er kul nok til å være med i en russegruppe. Men gruppen klarer ikke å si seg enig om han fortjener være en av de.

A high school teen attends a "evaluation party" to prove if he's cool enough to join a popular gang. However, the group is split on whether he deserves to be a part of their circle.

After three years as a university student, I created this film as part of my final project. I'm pleased with the results, especially with the dedication and hard work of the actors and my crew. It's been a valuable learning experience, and I hope to continue improving.

I was inspired by the actions of high school students in Norway, particularly Emma Ingebrigtsen, who took the initiative to create inclusive groups to ensure that no one felt isolated or excluded. This effort was a response to the prevalent "group culture" in high schools, where social status and party invitations often hinged on being part of a popular gang. Sadly, many teens are left out of these groups and miss out on social activities altogether. Some of them even have to attend "evaluation parties", where they must prove they’re cool enough to join a group, only to be voted out. Through this film, I hope to bring more attention to this issue and spark meaningful conversations, especially here in Norway.
