Went to @vauxwall yesterday after an unintentional five day rest (excluding a mini fail session on Friday). I felt pretty good. Fairly strong, didn’t feel weirdly nervous or scared of falling/jumping (which sometimes randomly happens) and was reading routes well. I was in perfect condition to go back to my black project. Unfortunately, I got distracted by the new comp wall set…

I was just supposed to warm up on the easy boulders, but there were too many nice looking climbs! I got a bit carried away and ended up tiring myself out so much I couldn’t even attempt the black. Although I did stick the crimp on the slightly overhung wasp (see latest reel). I’ll definitely send the wasp next session when I’m fresh enough to pull in on the crimp. And I I WILL get back to the black project soon.

I didn’t actually send the V3 because I was too scared to pop to the finish as I didn’t feel secure enough on my right hand so I thought about smearing but I got too tired from just hanging around and then I couldn’t get the dyno anymore. I also didn’t send the V4 but it was my favourite climb of the grade from the comp wall so I decided to post it anyways. I feel like I can definitely get it if I had worked it a little more but I flitted around like a kid in a candy store, trying everything and tiring myself out.
