AGRA FORT: HOME OF THE MUGHAL EMPERORS! (4K)

Please join me for a tour of the impressive Agra Fort in Agra, India, another must-see in Agra in addition to the Taj Mahal, which you can see from Agra Fort. Agra Fort, which is also known as the Red Fort, was the main home of the Mughal Emperors until 1638 when the capital shifted from Agra to Delhi. It was home to Akbar the Great, who built much of the fort in 1573; his son Jahangir; and Jahangir's son Shah Jahan, who built the Taj Mahal, but who was imprisoned here by his own son. In a cruel irony, Shah Jahan could only see the Taj Mahal from his room but could never again visit his own masterpiece. Agra Fort is made of red sandstone but much of it was rebuilt by Shah Jahan in white marble. Some of the impressive buildings inside Agar Fort include Jahangir Palace, Musamman Burj, Diwan-i-Am (Hall of Public Audience), and Moti Masjid (Pearl Mosque).
