Masters of Tradition, Bantry House 2022

This was a dream. Dancing a few steps to the music of Martin Hayes on fiddle, with accompaniment on guitar by Steve Cooney and piano by Cormac McCarthy. This was part of the Masters of Tradition festival in Bantry, Co.Cork (West Cork Music) - August 2022.

In this video, I dance some improvised, percussive steps to the reel ‘O’Rourke’s’. There’s no plan, which is how I like it best. I try to empty my head and go with the music. It works out different every time, depending on the tune, tempo, musician, the audience, the atmosphere, the type of floor, my mood, my level of energy, how the combination of all the above makes me feel.
