This One Dance UK Healthier Dancer Programme 2017 conference Mind the Gap: Train Smart, Improve Performance was the UK’s first-ever full-day conference focused on the health, well-being and training issues of hip hop artists.

Presented in collaboration with Stratford Circus Arts Centre, East London Dance, and the University of East London, the day responded to the specific needs and concerns of practitioners in this highly physical genre, and brought artists together with healthcare practitioners and researchers in a sharing of experience and information.

Afternoon sessions featured research presentations and practical fitness sessions, like this one.
