In this video we talk about the hall effect: what happens when a particle moves through an electric and magnetic field, at 90 degrees to each other? This phenomenon is used in deflection tubes, using helmholtz coils, and also in velocity selectors.

Using a hall probe, one can measure the magnetic flux density of a magnetic field. In this video, we take a look at how that might work, using measurements of the Hall Voltage.
