I had a Hawaiian theme for my 9th grade graduation dance. I asked a cross town rival junior high girl named Shawna, who I met at a roller rink (shout out Skateway in Cypress, Ca.) I had not seen her in a couple of years but something inside said, "ask a girl who was not from my school".

She said yes, and next thing I know, I have a fresh aloha shirt on with my sisters pooka shells and I am pulling up to her house. Shawna looked magnificent and it turns out, she was now about 3 inches taller than me. Anyway, my street cred jumped to new heights with this bold move and that Ford Granada with red leather interior (a loaner from my dad's friend) was also a classy move to have that be the car that took us to the dance.

40 years later, Tony and I came up with our first jean ever - the John Graham Mellor. This slim straight jean is the one that took us to this dance and believe us, we are very proud to have made something 14 years ago that is still relevant today for a proper fitting men's jean.
