Cephalometric analyses are made quickly in few minutes. User can choose wizard guided creation process using predefined templates or just creates the analysis from scratch.

Radiograph

Radiographs for cephalometric analyses can be in any bitmap format including DICOM images. If DICOM radiographs are used, several DICOM tags such as patient's name and birthday are extracted directly from the DICOM file.

Tools

Highly intuitive user interface allows novice and experienced users to be highly productive. User usually uses one of predefined cephalometric analysis types according to local requests or according to one of established authors.

Ax.CEPH does not limit user in adding additional landmarks, planes and measurements to the cephalometric analysis. User can use tools such as zoom window, help window to be even faster and more accurate.

Process

User first imports a radiograph, defines patient type (early dentition, mixed dentition, race etc.) and types in patient personal data.

Second step is to choose cephalometric analysis type (Ricketts, Bergen, Oslo, Steiner,...). Landmarks and datum planes appear on radiograph.

In the third step user moves landmarks and datum planes to the right places. When the radiograph is calibrated using calibration tool, the job is done and delivarables can be printed out, sent by e-mail or exported to other applications or into image files.
