"Superstar" is a word usually reserved for artists and performers like Aerosmith, Celine Dion, Faith Hill and Beyonce. Diane Warren is a Superstar among Superstars, the acclaimed writer of hit songs for those same artists and others, and more than 800 other songs, over 100 of which have made the charts. Diane's songs have received six Academy Award nominations, five Golden Globe nominations, and twelve Grammy nominations. They have appeared in more than 70 movies, and 20 television shows, creating Pop Culture touchstones that continue to resonate, as evidenced by her 2001 induction into the Songwriters Hall Of Fame.

On Saturday, May 10th as part of the 2014 Music Summit, Canadian Music Week presented a Celebrity Interview with Diane Warren at the Toronto Marriot Hotel. The interview is conducted by Larry Leblanc, influential Toronto radio personality and internationally-renowned music journalist. Diane and Larry enjoy an in-depth, occasionally ribald, conversation about her life, her career, how to write songs ("The more hooks the merrier!"), favourite songwriters and how she continues the Brill Building tradition of songwriting.
