A level crossing located on the Ashford to Ramsgate Line next to Wye station a few miles out of Ashford, Kent. In December 2022, this level crossing was given a full renewal and conversion from a level crossing with manually-operated gates to a level crossing with lifting barriers, wigwags (road traffic lights), and audible alarms, all replacing two life-expired hand-operated swing gates. Both quiet alarms are located on the same side of the road closest to the station, and two additional LED pedestrian lights have additionally been provided. On the Canterbury-bound platform, the ground frame which was previously worked to lock the gates and release the signals is now in situ and out of use, as the level crossing is controlled remotely from Canterbury now, rather than by a crossing keeper who was based in the station building.
