Medical personnel, police, and disaster response units were deployed immediately, with the injured rushed to nearby hospitals. Several victims are reported to be in critical condition.

Authorities have launched an investigation to determine what caused the crane to collapse and whether construction safety lapses or coordination failures with railway authorities played a role. Rail services in the affected stretch have been suspended as safety checks continue.
