Is Fujifilm X-E1 any good in 2023? Review and images from Kilimanjaro

This time I’m doing a review of the Fujifilm X-E1, one of the first cameras in the Fuji line-up of mirrorless cameras. It’s based on the first generation X-Trans sensor with a resolution of 16 megapixel. That doesn’t sound like much, but for most work especially social media and other internet related stuff that is actually plenty.

Most of my own work relates to images for lectures and for my books, and 16 mpx is far better than necessary. Even for smaller prints like up to A3 this resolution is enough.

But how does the camera perform in other respects, like handling, auto- and manual focus, light sensitivity, jpg output and the associated famous Fuji film receipes?

Ascending Kilimanjaro by the Lemosho route is no easy task. I did it this time with a group of 14 including myself. This is part of the images from that climb.
