“Not a day should pass without contemplating a sunset, seeing a squirrel slipping behind a tree, admiring the beauty of nature.
This is of course the basis inspiration which led me to compose “Meditations”. The other important source was the desire to play with my partner Agnès Vesterman on the cello. She plays, and my ideas take shapes and flesh like in a dream.”
“Meditations” is a continuation of the minimalist composers, Steve Reich, Max Richter, while providing a sensitive and soothing touch. We feel Armand's passion for Bach, Schubert or Chopin, sometimes with a touch of Blues. Let us be lulled into this universe which is full of sharpness and softness.
