How to Create Groups in Mailchimp

In this video, I show you how to create groups in mailchimp. This is part 1 of a 3-part series in which I review groups, segments, and tags and how they work to organize your mailchimp list. Groups are used in Mailchimp when you want to categorize interests for your list of subscribers.

In this example, I used Cars as the category, with 3 groups - Ford, Porsche, and Ferrari.

When someone joins your Mailchimp list, they're asked to select any of the 3 groups of interest.

From there, when you send out a Mailchimp campaign, you specify a particular group to receive it.

In the next video, I'll be talking about Segments. Segments are like filters for your list. In the last video, I'll explain how Mailchimp Tags work.
