This is called a suggestibility test. These tests are used to tell a hypnotist who exhibits clear and quick "ideomotor response": involuntary movement of the muscles. People who exhibit a lot of IMR are usually especially well suited as subjects during a hypnosis show. They're also (usually) rather creative thinkers (which is why, if your hands moved or touch, you're probably more on the creative side), while more analytical thinkers (usually) exhibit less signs of ideomotor response (thus, if your hands didn't touch, you are more likely to be an analytical thinker).
