King Duncan Key Quotes

In this video, we'll revise some of the different ways that the minor character of King Duncan could be interpreted for GCSE English Literature. From Shakespeare's 'Macbeth', the character of King Duncan isn't actually in the play that much, but he's clearly used to show how a good king should act, if only to juxtapose Macbeth's reign later in the play. Here, we'll look at four ways the character could be interpreted. There are key quotations with analysis to support each interpretation, as well as a practice exam-style question at the end.
