The 75th Ranger Regiment and the Special Forces AKA Green Berets are both part of the US Army Special Operations Command. Well folks, today we’re going on an expedition deep into the heart of these elite warriors to answer that burning question: Army Rangers vs Green Berets. The 75th Ranger Regiment is an airborne light infantry combat group under the US Army Special Operations Command. Their roots are traced back to World War II. Their motto "Rangers Lead The Way" has some real grit behind it. It all goes back to D-Day, June 6th, 1944. In the chaos of battle, Brigadier General Norman Cota, cool under pressure, asked, "Who are these guys?" When someone yelled back "5th Rangers!", Cota shouted, "Well then, get moving! Rangers, lead the way!" The 75th regiment is based at Fort Moore, Georgia. The Regiment has seen some incredible action throughout its history... On the other hand, officially known as Green Berets, operate in units of 12, are experts in unconventional warfare. They are trained for deeper immersion in foreign cultures, working with and training local forces and conducting diplomatic and humanitarian missions. Their motto is the Latin phrase De Oppresso Liber, which means “To Liberate the Oppressed… Army Rangers are known for their quick response and light infantry capabilities. They're not just soldiers but a rapid deployment force trained to be anywhere in the world within 18 hours… On the other hand, Green Berets aren't your typical soldiers. These elite fighters specialize in a different kind of warfare: the long, complex fight behind the enemy lines. The most challenging is Foreign Internal Defense. They are sent undercover years before a war even begins. That's the life of a Green Beret on an FID mission. Forget rapid deployment…Ranger Assessment and Selection Program (RASP). This intense 8-week program is separated into two parts: RASP 1 and RASP 2… On the other hand, Green Berets selection process the Special Forces Assessment and Selection (SFAS) course lasts 24 days. move on to the Special Forces Qualification Course (SFQC), often referred to as the "Q Course." The program consists of multiple phases, with a total duration ranging from 12 to 24 months depending on the chosen Military Occupational Specialty (MOS).
