Loving-Kindness meditation focuses on developing feelings of goodwill, kindness and warmth towards others. Loving-Kindness is the antidote the Buddha prescribed to fear and anger.

Research has shown it gives the practitioner many benefits such as: more joy, contentment, gratitude and happiness. It relieves pain and migraines, helps with PTSD and Schizophrenia. You will become more empathic, compassionate, helpful, less biased towards others ,and less critical of yourself.

The Buddha called the emotion of loving-kindness a divine abiding. In my experience this is exactly how it will feel once developed, you will feel as if you are in heaven.

Compared to other kinds of meditation, loving-kindness is relatively easy to develop, and hard to go wrong with.
