Welcome to Episode 35 of the Master Unreal Series! In this chapter, we’re building a AAA-quality door interaction system in Unreal Engine 5, complete with mirrored animations, realistic door rotation, and smart logic to detect which side of the door you're on — just like you’d see in Resident Evil 4 or Tomb Raider.

We’ll start by setting up and trimming the right door animations, then use timelines and animation curves to drive the rotation of the door in perfect sync with the character’s motion. As you follow along, you’ll learn how to:

🔹 Design a branching system that lets players open and close doors interactively
🔹 Sync door animations with real-time movement using curves and timelines
🔹 Handle door interaction from both front and back, flipping animation when needed
🔹 Use animation blending to solve issues with mirrored poses
🔹 Smoothly transition between mirrored and non-mirrored door actions without snapping
🔹 Automatically close doors once the player is done interacting

By the end, you'll have a clean and polished door blueprint system that fits into any modern, immersive game — be it horror, stealth, or action-adventure.
