American Robin

Описание к видео American Robin

The American Robin's scientific, Latin name is 'Turdus migratorius'. 'Turdus' may sound funny, but it refers to the family of thrush songbirds (Turdidae) that Robins are related to. The 'migratorius' portion of their name was given due to the large flocks of robins that form during migration and the winter season. While American Robins may be considered a sign of spring by many, their movement patterns lead them to be a very busy bird that can be seen throughout the year all over the states.
